How to reset for Brother DCP 7065DN, 7070DW, 7055

When you have changed new toner in your         Brother DCP-7065DN

Brother DCP-7070DW

Brother DCP-7055,            You may need to reset it manually by

following the procedure.

Have to do the key sequence fairly quickly or it defaults back to the “COVER IS OPEN” message.

1. Open the front door to access the toner

2. Press the “Clear” button.

3. Press the “Start” button.

   (When you press START the screen should clear.)

4. Press the “↓” or “Down Arrow” button.

5. Press the “↑” or “Up Arrow” button.

    (When you press the down arrow an ‘E0′ should appear, which will change to ’00′ when you press the up arrow)

6. Press the “OK” button.

    (When it say s ‘ACCEPTED’)

7. Close the front door.

 

♣ The DCP models that take the TN2230 / TN2250 / TN450 toner may also work with above instruction ♣

  1. I have DCP-7055 printer. before some days it displays the message “Print Unable 72” but when I reset the printer it shows Print unable 78. Please help me to solve this problem.

  3. thank you for that, took a while as not pressing buttons quickly enough, but working now, had previously called brother helpline and they said they were not allowed to tell me how to do it and I would have to call an engineer!! All done now in a few minutes – magic.

  4. Had refilled the cartridge and reset the gears but the out-of-toner message remained. These steps cleared the message and reset the printer. The first thing I printed were these instructions to store with my printer for the next toner refill!

  6. My start toner was totaly empty, I was getting message, replace the toner, and I couldnt print anything; whit this procedure, the message has disappeard and now I can print again. Thank a lot. God bless ya!

  7. this did the trick, thank you. I could n’t get that message to go away, I had reset through the printer, turned off and on, took the cartridge out and check the tapes and sliders and reinstered few times..nothing. now my dad can print with his compatible cartridge that is non brother brand.

  8. I’ve a brother dcp 1510 monochrome printer, displays the toner ended error. And I’ve waste lot of time to came out from this error. Anybody have idea about this problem? Please help me.
